Over the years the directors have chosen to invest in gradual renewal, opting for equipment that permits the enterprise to maintain its flexibility, all the while optimizing wood fibre.

At the entrance to the mill, a metal detector rejects all logs that are contaminated by metal.

Using two infrared cameras, the USNR carriage with 3D optimizer analyses each log in order to improve the finished product by assuring precision cutting.

The gang saw, 8” x 48”, makes possible the use of several cutting patterns, thus offering thicknesses of 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4 and 8/4. This model conceived with one guided sawing shaft accomplishes precision cutting.

With its two mobile saws, the new edger optimizes grades and improves fibre.

A system for recovery of residues separates the bark, sawdust and woodchips for a later sale to other companies that will use them as primary material. Our secondary products are certified FSC-Controlled.

Four hybrid dryer units dry wood by dehumidification process. Each has a capacity of 60,000 BF, with heat pump and 200 HP boiler, all controlled by wireless contact that permits degree-by-degree measure.

An automatic grading table with an integrated humidity detector facilitates the humidity control of each board and its classification by grade, according to the exact requirements of each client.

An expert team of mechanics and filers assures the maintenance and repair of our equipment.
